Logo Design Competition (Part III)
And the winner is...
Rebecca Yoo!

Rebecca, who does graphic design work under the name Out of Sight Designs, wins the competition, and the prize of two free shirts with the new logo on them! I already loved the stylish, slightly-askew drink-in-a-martini-glass design and text the moment I saw them. But what totally sold me on this design was the little apple in the glass, subtly but cleverly representing New York City, "The Big Apple," where I work and live.
The Barmaid Blog Store is now open for business! And for the next two weeks, there's an "Early Adopter Sale" on a few items. If you buy the ash grey t-shirt, the women's pink t-shirt, the hooded sweatshirt - or the teddy bear, which I think is absolutely adorable! - before October 19, you'll pay only fifty cents over CafePress's base prices. Plus, for those who don't want to spend quite as much on clothing but still want to represent, there's a low-priced "value t-shirt."

Thank you so much to Rebecca Yoo for the wonderful design, and to everyone else who entered the competition! I'm off to Yankee Stadium, now, and it's a beautiful day for baseball!
I don't care what people say, boys should not wear pink. ;)
congrats Rebecca!!
Anyway Debra, I've been sort of an under the radar reader. Reading maybe for a month or so now (or even more now?!) and not really commenting much.
I think the only times I have was to ask about the design competition and ask you advice since I just moved to NY about where to work near my school.
But, I started to feel a little creepy. Haha, I'm enjoying reading your life so much that I wanted to let you know.
Honestly I feel a bit like you are a fictional character. I love your stories so much Debra is like a character now. Although obviously you are not! I hope you take that as a compliment (that I am enjoying reading the stories of your life abstractly) and not that I don't think you are real!
I'm at the bars downtown every now and then and I always wonder and sorta with you were serving me. Whether I knew or not it would be pretty cool.
Perhaps sometime we'll really meet. I have a lot of intrigue with the online relationship. (Don't worry I'm really not as creepy as my word choice is making me sound) I don't mean sexual relationship.
I've acutually had a lot of o luck meeting friends on LJ that attend my school etc.
You never know, the internet can be a blessing as much as a danger. It certainly brings people together from all over... and that is pretty great.
Thanks for letting me read your life :)
TIGERS vs. YANKEES
Beware of Verlander!
PS- Giambi? The first game was the first change I ever had to size him up, and forgive me, but eewww. Come on, how about a little A-Rod? :) :)
I like the logo, it fits.
Joshua

Now all you need to do...
You should exploit your connections here. ;-)
